As a result, many people end up seeking something more substantial to munch on after consuming a weight loss drink. The result? Unwanted, additional weight gain and an inability to meet weight loss goals.

Losing Weight the Healthy Way

No matter how much weight a person wants to lose, it is never a good idea to completely eliminate fat and carbohydrates from one’s diet or restrict calories too severely. The human body functions at its best when it is given a healthy balance of protein, carbohydrates, and fat, combined with moderate exercise.

A Healthy and Delicious Smoothie

This smoothie recipe has it all. It packs an impressive amount of protein, vitamins, and minerals, plus a few necessary carbohydrates for energy. The fat content is very minimal, but there is just enough to make it a filling meal. For people who have attained their desired weight, drinking this smoothie is still an excellent way to maintain great health for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Substitute With Splenda

Many of the following ingredients can be substituted for sugarless versions. In that case, use several packets of a sugar substitute, such as Splenda, to maintain sweetness. Ingredients that offer sugarless versions are marked with an asterisk.

Chocolate Strawberry Banana Smoothie Recipe

  • 1 Banana
  • 1 Low Fat Strawberry Banana Yogurt* (6 oz.)
  • 1 Packet Chocolate Carnation Instant Breakfast*
  • ½ Cup 100% Orange Strawberry Banana Juice
  • Splash of Vanilla Creamer*
  • ½ Cup crushed Ice (optional)
  • 2 Tbs Fat-Free Whipped Cream* (optional)

Serves one. Double the ingredients for two servings. Calories per serving: 400

How To Make A Chocolate Strawberry Banana Smoothie

In a blender, combine yogurt, banana, Instant Breakfast, juice, creamer, and crushed ice on high speed. Pause blender to scrape ingredients from the sides, then resume high speed until consistency of mixture is smooth. Pour into a tall glass and top with fat-free whipped cream if desired. Enjoy!
